Frederick Quittenden – Letter of Appointment & Permit Book
Frederick Quittenden – Aviation Storekeeper – Short Brothers Eastchurch. The photos are his letters of appointment and Permit Book to permit him to enter/ leave the Isle of Sheppey during WWI. All resident’s of the island were required to have a permit book to allow them to access the island due to the presence of Sheerness Dockyard and Eastchurch airfield which made it a German target. The last photo is Frederick Quittenden’s war service badge.
