THE ROYAL VISIT
Their majesties, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth’s interest in the building of the famous Short flying boats at the Seaplane Works on the banks of the Medway and new landplanes at the Rochester Airport factory was indicated by their historic tour of the works and was marked by the production of a souvenir booklet entitled ‘A ROYAL VISIT’. This was produced and distributed with the compliments of the chairman Oswald Short and several directors of the Short companies.
