ARTHUR HENRY CROWE by Alan Crowe..
“My wife’s uncle was born in 1909 and became an apprentice electrical fitter in the Chatham Dockyard.
He moved to Shorts and followed them to Belfast and travelled the world for Shorts.
Later became a director of the Company. He retired and lived in Belfast.”
My adopted father was William Stephen Sargison who was a draughtsman at Shorts until the firm moved to Belfast. My guess is that he joined Shorts after leaving school. He died in 1962.”
